Hello everyone,

I have an LOA for USNA, and I was just curious to know when the average mid had time off and such (like for summer, thanksgiving, winter, etc) and how long they were off. Thank you for the help in advance.

Thanks for the help but are they like week long leaves or only a few days?

Leaves are typically longer, not specified as they will be different for each person depending on their responsibility, as it says on the USNA website.

USAFA parent here, so take with a grain of salt. My cadets typically get 5-7 days at Thanksgiving. Approximately 10-14 days for Christmas, maybe more depending on their finals schedule and less if they are an athlete (IC) or not. Approximately 9 days for Spring Break. And about three weeks for Summer break as long as they don't use it to take other classes.

We're about the same, except we get 3 days for Thanksgiving and ~15-17 for Christmas

In my day, the length of your leave for Christmas/New Year depended on the timing of your last exam. We could leave after that and some people had late exams (shorter leave) and some finished up early.

Summer leave depends on a whole host of factors but in general most mids who want a month off will get it. Most get bored and do "extra" activities during the summer b/c they're really fun.:thumb:
