Hello! I broke my neck playing varsity football during practice. Its not a spinal chord injury though, thank god. I am in a neck brace until February-march. I had planned on joining winter track prior to this injury but now i cant. What can i do as far as community service and other activities during this long healing process? If anyone has any tips or ideas about activities or clubs i can do with a broken neck, i would highly appreciate it.

Thank you!

Wow DeltaHunter! I am glad your injury was not more serious. Heal quickly.

There are literally thousands of things you can do even with your broken neck:
Read to the blind or elderly
Visit with disabled vets
Tutor middle school/high school students
Play board games with nursing home residents
Organize a food/clothing/supplies for shelter drive with your friends (shows leadership too)

Those are just a few, but you get the idea. Good luck to you and take care of that neck.
