I'm so sorry. I'm sure our DS' rejection letter is coming soon, especially this late in the game.

Z, Sorry to hear but glad DS is excited about plan B and reapplying. Did his portal change?
DS's still just says wait list and no email yet.

He was several days behind others on the PW change so we're expecting something next couple days.

Good luck and hopefully we see you at 2020 I day.
 
We never got info on change to password. It sounds like good news that your son got the change!
 
What do you think it means when you can't get past the user name/password portal page, but you haven't received any emails from USNA? Are they sending out the TWE emails in waves like they did real envelopes? DS is anxious to start the reapplication process this summer. Orientation at Plan B was not pleasant for him, so we are all "saddling up" for round 2.

Will he be attending plan B? Sorry to hear orientation did not go well. Check the portal access thread. There is some information there that may be helpful.
 
Yes, attending a state flagship honors college program and trying to mirror plebe year as best as allowed. He is just so disappointed, that's all.

It isn't too late to change schools if he decides he would rather go to a prep school. My DS had two solid plan B's lined up and neither one of them felt 'right' so on the suggestion of our high school principal, we visited MMI and DS felt at peace about attending there and they help with the reapplication process
 
Thank you for the good advice, Zmansmom. DH is really hoping he finds his niche at the university. He got great scholarships, and it is only 3 hours from home, so we are praying hard that he will settle in. What a wonderful opportunity your DS will have next year, and help with the app as well. Let's all keep in touch for round two!
 
Mom529, sorry to hear of tha disappointment. Hopefully your DS can channel that disappointment into motivation. I think once he gets there, meets some new friends, experiences life on his own, he will become more positive. Sounds like he has a great opportunity and hope he warms up to it!
