After I took the Calc 1 validation test online on CABS, I got a message, "You have opted out of the Calculus II Validation exam. No further action is necessary." Did I fail the calc exam? I'm a little worried because I did well in my AP calc class as well as the AP calc BC test, and I don't want to be placed in the wrong level. Can I take the test again at Plebe Summer?

Not too sure you failed the exam. Having gone to NAPs, we were allowed to take the validation test for calc 1 before graduating. Our test scores were then forwarded on to the academy. Throughout your plebe summer at various times, your cadre will list off a bunch of names to take validation tests that are scheduled for some of your core classes. If you end up validating those, your name will simply be called again to take the next class up. Once into the academic year, you can have a one on one with your instructor if you feel you are not being challenged enough.
