My MOC extended his nom. application deadline from Oct 31 to November 15 - what on earth could this mean? I'm hearing that all the other states are already into interviews, and beginning to receive noms, and I sit here doing nothing. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Perhaps your MOC had an issue with someone serving on the interview board (ie dropped out and needed to be replaced), or the MOC's office is receiving more nomination applications than in prior years and it's taking them longer to process them, or .... it could be any number of things, but it isn't in your control. The deadline for MOCs to submit their slate of nominees isn't until the end of January, so even if you interview soon, you may not know whether you've received a nomination until January anyway. Patience is the key here, and only worrying about those things you can control (grades, ACT, CFA, application deadlines, etc).
