I'm taking the sat and act in the next 2 weeks. If my scores are in the 650's and 30ish range, would it be to early to send them to usafa?

Isn't there a little section on the information sheet to fill out a school code? If so, that's what I'd do, but not 100% sure

    Me too!

I'm am taking the Sat on June 1st and I received a email stating whete to go to add colleges to your Sat school list. Check your email or just search google. You can add them before to take away the hassle. That is what I recommend doing.

Thanks for the input.on that note I took 2 AP test (European history and environmental science) earlier this month. When the scores come out should I send those to usafa or not?

    No experience.. Sorry.

Sorry in the AP field I have no experience. I am taking my first two AP classes next year. Sorry, but use the search function and use the key words: ap, score, report. That's about all the help I can give you right now, but Olivia (soccerchick) might have more experience I that area.

    AP Scores

I'm not sure if it'll make a huge difference now, but the academy will see your ap scores once you start the application next year. You could wait or figure out the process to send them. Just my 2 cents.

I took my first AP test this year, but I'm gonna hold of on sending them. Do you want to send them to show your interest? If so, you should fill out the junior questionnaire thing on the academy admissions website! Hey, you get a free calendar out of it

I wouldn't do AP scores now. It costs money (I don't think you get any freebies, like you do with the SAT), and when you send a report it sends EVERYTHING you've taken for the same price. So wait till you actually need to send them, and send them all then. Spend the money on something else instead.

On that same note, I don't believe I even sent the Academy my official AP scores until this spring, after I'd been accepted and they needed them for classes. I reported them in my application, and they were on my transcript, but I didn't do it officially. In retrospect, I have no idea whether this was a good idea. I don't know if you get points toward the academic for high AP scores vs. just taking an AP class, or whether they need to be officially reported for you to get those points (if they exist at all.) Obviously it all worked out... but for all I know I might have gotten in with no APs, so if you're worried I'd research it.

For the SAT question, USAFA consider all of your scores so it wouldn't hurt you to send them in. However, since you guys are class of 2019 hopefuls, you won't even have a file open yet so it is a little early... I'm not even sure if you're allowed to send them in if you don't even have an open application...
