Hi..this is my 1st post here. Can anyone advise what the guidance counselor should look for regarding the guidance counselor input? Right now the dashboard shows: "Guidance Counselor Feedback:Not Started" DS has an appointment tomorrow morning to go over his file with the guidance counselor and is trying to help understand what the counselor should be on the lookout for; his file is complete except this one data point.

Thank you for any help!

Which type of ROTC? Army, Air Force, Navy? Depending on which service your DS is applying to, it could be different things. My experience is with NROTC. The guidance counselor provided the transcripts, with class ranking and senior schedule for my DD's package. If your DS selected the guidance counselor as a reference, it could be waiting on the counselor to complete the reference. But AROTC and AFROTC are not the same as NROTC.
You can always contact the recruiter who is your DS' contact and find out exactly what is missing. I find the recruiters are friendly and very helpful.

Thank you for this; it's AROTC.

For Army ROTC, an email will be sent to the guidance counselor asking for information such as class rank and types of classes the applicant has taken. Also an email will be sent to PE teacher or high school coach requesting they give the applicant the Physical Fitness Assessment and report the results to Cadet Command.

Just have your DS tell the counselor to check their Spam folder just in case for an email from Army ROTC. It is very likely that the counselor (unless he/she is a total rookie) has seen this email many times.

Perhaps a ROO such as @clarksonarmy can spell out what the subject line will read.

I think the primary item the Guidance Counselor provides is the academic transcript. A student supplying their own transcript is not acceptable, as with most college applications. Class rank is also very important, though that might be cited on the transcript.
