Can I request a change or add-on?

Hi everyone, so my 2 senator interviews are coming up this week and I was wondering if at that interview I could request a change as in, towards which academy I would like to receive a nomination. Unfortunately, when I sent in those applications, I believe I said I wanted them both only for West Point which at that time was true. But recently, my BGO called me and told me I had a great chance at the Naval Academy and told me to consider applying. After some deliberation I decided to apply. Unfortunately, as of right now the only options I have of receiving a nomination for USNA would be the V.P. nomination. So could I ask at least one of the senator boards that I would like to change my nomination preference to USNA as my number 1 option?

Also, for my congressional nomination, can my congressman give me a nomination for both USMA and USNA? If I am an outstanding candidate and there is low competition in my district (hopefully), could he possibly give me a nomination for both academies? I have looked online for an answer that have found nothing clear. Thank you for your feedback!

My DD called her senator's office the day before her interview and asked them to change her ranked preference. They said that it was no problem and changed her first choice to USAFA. I do not know if your congressman can give you a nomination to both USNA and USMA.

    StayingPositive,
IMHO it can never hurt to ask. And yes, a MOC can nominate you to two academies. Not all will, especially when they have massive numbers of applicants in their district. However, in districts where the number of applicants are limited, nominating someone to two or more academies is not uncommon.

She went on overnight visits to USMA, USNA and USAFA and decided that Air Force was the best fit for her. She did like all three schools.
