Can I send first care package before I Day?

We're leaving this Saturday, the 23rd from San Diego. I have heard the mail takes a while to reach the Academy. If my parents send it on the 23rd, will it be there in time for me to receive it in the first couple of days? Should I send it on the 23rd or have someone from back home send it later? Could it get lost at the Academy?

Wait. Have it get there a few days after I-day. Why upset your detailers before you even arrive?

If "we're" is you and your parents and your care package can fit into your suit case, I would bring it and have your parents drop it off at a post office on I-Day or the day after I-Day.

If you feel disillusioned at all (there's a lot of Boring waiting in lines after all) remember that it's meant to be a four-year experience and if you hang in there you'll make amazing friends and have unbelievable experiences that won't seem imaginable when you're stinky and tired and your skin is breaking out.
