Can I Start?

^^^^^ in getting a ROTC scholarship or admitted into West Point
 
Not really, and the time you spend joining the reserves could be better spent getting good grades or taking advantage of leadership opportunities. I'll bet there are some out there that will disagree, but we (ROTC/SAs) are looking for people who are scholar/athlete/leaders more than trained soldiers.
