can i still join rotc if i am the only boy in my house hold

Michael,
If Michael Robinson is your real name it is not the best screen name to use when you post things on online forums. These forums or any online forum. You should be able to change it on your profile page.
why @5Day

Especially if their avatar is a picture of them.
why @Pima
Because this is anonymous forum. We are not facebook. Picture and name means, I can find you really easy on FB, because now I have a name...Michael and Robinson are pretty common, but your face is not going to be common.

Us old folks...like your folks...are more tech savvy than you think.
~ Kids get a big wake up when they apply for jobs, etc... most employers will use Google with their name, and let''s be honest, how many 14 yr old Michael Robinsons, look like you and are Homeschooled? My bet is 1. Now I can find a back door on FB. You know, your best buds that tagged you in a picture. From there I can see even more.

It really is a hop, skip and a jump.

you are right and you sound cool and nice and how i change it @Pima

Michael,

Again, what is your goal? AD Army as an O1 at 18, or Educational Delay for grad school?

I get you want to go AROTC.
to become a army person @Pima
Again, this is why I believe you are not ready for ROTC right now.

My opinion is based on some of your other posts regarding how little research you have done.
~ Single Male in the household
~ How do I get drafted
~ Army person.

Look, I get you are learning, and I do not mean to be harsh. I am just pointing out that you should do some more research. Read threads regarding your career choices, read threads about the difference between AD, Reserve and Guard when it comes to owing back time. Read threads about how they decide these choices.

I am just looking at your 1st posts, and I immediately thought you were a troll because you asked how do I get drafted? The Army person and not military member or soldier says/screams to me you need to learn more if you want to be a successful cadet.

I would also say at 14 , you need to talk to the folks. Most units, if not all, will have mandatory PT starting at 6 or 6:30 2x a week at the unit. There is no I will go to the Y and do it when it fits my schedule. LLAB for my DS was on a different day at 2 p.m. Both are mandatory. When he became POC (jr in college), he was also required to attend staff meetings, this is where they would review the progress of the younger cadets (GMC). PT for his unit was 6:30, but because of his position, and his unit they did those meeting at 5:30.
~ At your age, IF you are given a position like this, and because you commute, than somebody is driving you at 5 a.m. due to the fact you don't have a license.

ok and i already signed up for rotc already online for homeschoolers and highschool and middleschool and colleges people too @Pima

Michael,

You are in charge of your avatar so remove the pic.

Regarding your moniker I think you need to contact Tactical Nuke and ask him to let you change it.

So than you are saying you know which college the folks will be driving you twice a week every week at 5:30 a.m ? Plus driving you to attend LLAB on the other days?

He was sending very dangerous and questionable messages to me. I have no idea what he was doing here, but it wasn't good. Sorry you had to waste your time on people like this.

Oh MikeMike aka MichaelReagan I do have empathy for you. Pretty sure you are lurking still, just now, not as a member.

Next time you baitfish for fun and giggles with your buds on the internet, remember that these kids are willing to die for you to have your right of freedom of speech. Whatever you feel about the military...you know what I mean...killers and tax dollars waste of money, causing death and destruction. That before you baitfish again, those killers, drain on our taxes will make sure you can BAITFISH because it is your inherent right as an American citizen

My DS just proudly flew over Arlington for the funeral services of a C130 crash in Afghanistan.

Are you willing to die for me? My kids? Strangers? They are and many have.

You might think that yanking a chain here while you live in a bedroom/dorm room is funny to you. To me, I pity you. What are you doing besides spending time making up a false persona, so much so you actually changed your moniker and avatar.

I warned you ... older people are not as dumb as you think we are when it comes to being forum savvy.

Interesting how he chose the Pre-Veterinary forum there to start asking about joining the Army.

I wonder if he did this on college confidential. I have never heard of studentdoctor.net. Collegeconfidential would seem more likely to baitfish on, unless they are stalking someone and that person is also on studentdoctor.

Either way I do pity this kid even more now, because they really have waayyyyy too much time on their hands to run around and join forums just to yank chains.

3 hours!

Geeze we must be slipping! It took 5 hrs here, but to be fair the mods here didn't have a poster saying...here we go again!

He made a thread on College Confidential asking if he was considered to be in college as a 9th grader. Ended up getting roasted by a majority of the posters, most of which stated he shouldn't be in 9th grade with that horrible grammar.
