Can I transfer to the academy after a year or two after going to the citadel?

Hello, I was wondering if I don't get accepted to usafa this year if I can apply next year or the year after after doing an afrotc at the citadel. I know you can apply again after an afrotc at a civilian college, but at the citadel is there some sort of commitment? Thanks!

There are people with 4 year degrees from a civilian school who have gone to the academy. As long as you don't pass the magic age of 23 and you're qualified, you can apply.

I'm not sure of the citadel's policy but I can tell you this.

There is no "transferring" to the AFA. If you get an appointment then you will spend four years here. You will be required to go through Basic Cadet Training and make it through the freshman year commissioning education and you will be mandated to take at least 15 credit hours of classes per semester.

Good luck, hope to see you here!

If you receive an AFROTC scholarship, you are allowed to bolt with no payback for your 1st year.
~~~~ HQ AFROTC reports to HQ AF. Jumping from AFROTC to AFA is still under the ADAF umbrella..
I think this is more of a Citadel question. Look on the home page. Under ROTC forum is Publicly and Privately Funded Military Colleges.
~~ This is where you will get answers from Citadel posters.
~ Citadel OTOH can come after you if it is a Citadel scholarship.
