Um....hello, I am a new person on the forums, and I am currently facing a steep uphill battle for a ROTC waiver. I have gone through several forums, but the people on those either had no clue or little knowledge of medical conditions.
Can anyone inform me or tell me which conditions that are "unwaivable"?
And can anybody tell me the ROTC/Service Academy position on Medications?

LTCDRILLTEAM09 = LUIGI is correct. Send me an email to Larry.Mullen@dodmerb.tma.osd.mil. Provide your full name and Last 4 of your SSN. I can answer your specific case and your specific questions

Q = Can anyone inform me or tell me which conditions that are "unwaivable"? A = Not an answerable question. Too broad of a question. Depends what Academy/ROTC program. The condition. The degree of effect on the applicant. The degree of severity, diagnosis, prognosis, etc.,

Q = And can anybody tell me the ROTC/Service Academy position on Medications?
A = Medications are NOT the issue. It's the underlying issues that require the medication, which harkens back to my first answer.

    Standing by ready to assist:thumb:

I believe DoDMERB processes over 50,000 individuals each year. With all things medical, things are fairly strict. You should only feel more secure in knowing that, even when they know you, you have to provide proof of ownership before details are released.
And get used to using the "Last four of your social..."

"But Mr. Mullen. Sir, you already know me.....its the *Christopher* guy "

Ok, if I already know you and you posted it on the Forums here, I'll assume you want someone else to answer....or you would have sent me an email. The Chirstopher guy doesn't mean anything either. I would say I work/correspond with at least 50 "Christophers." I literally work with hundreds of folks and provide a very valuable service on behalf of DoDMERB. Deciphereing who is who, is not really part of the service I provide. My time is limited and I want to assist those folks that require direct assistance.

Given the postings on the Forums, if someone wants my assistance, they need to provide me their full name and last 4 of their SSN to my work email address; not the Private Messaging nor for public consumption here. Every case is different. Therefore, I won't make a public posting, if it doesn't apply to everybody. I really want to help, but folks need to make it easier for me to help them help themselves:thumb:

See how easy that was. BTW, jascam87 couldn't have been more correct. The "christopher guy," doesn't really zero me in when I work with hundreds of folks per week nor does send me a fresh email, when there has been a email string/thread. Folks should keep the string going so there's a reference for me. Remember, I'm there to help you, so the more you help me, the more you help yourselves.:thumb:
