USMMA Summer Open House Invitation

On behalf of the Superintendent, Faculty, Administration, and Staff, I wish to invite you to the U. S. Merchant Marine Academy for our Summer Open House. We will be providing information on our academics, regimental life, training, support programs, and career opportunities. In addition, we will cover the admissions process unique to a federal academy. Faculty, Staff, and Admissions personnel will be available to respond to any questions you may have.

Anticipated Program Schedule:
0730 – 0830 Registration (Admissions Building)
0840 – 1000 Welcome & Presentations (Ackerman Auditorium)
Superintendent, Academic Dean, Commandant, Athletic Director, Shipboard Training, Director of Student Activities
1010 – 1050 Admission Process Presentation
1100 – 1200 Information Tables
Service Branches, Athletics/Waterfront, Band, Academics, Parents Association, Financial Aid, Naval Science

For security purposes, all replies must be received by Friday, August 19, 2016 so that we may advise campus security.
 
Please enjoy the open house, and then weigh your options carefully and seriously consider the state maritime schools as well. USMMA is NOT a substitute or a "safety" if you fail to get into one of the other 4 academies. Also, please be aware that USMMA's accreditation is currently under a warning status. Also, please be aware that sea year is not being provided to the midshipmen at this time and there is no plan in place to return commercial shipping opportunities to the regiment. I post this only because it appears that the USMMA website has not been updated with this information.
 
Thanks KP Eng. Not meant to be innuendo dripping post. The MSCHE report requires that the accreditation warning be stated on the Academics page and I did not see it there. If it is there and not on a separate page, I stand corrected.
