Hello, I am working on my candidate statements and beginning to wonder if everyone's will sound similar. I tried to personalize mine as best as possible but some of the questions appear that most candidates will have similar responses.
for example question 2 (in summary): what are the most important qualities needed to be a successful USMA cadet and Army officer?
Does anyone have any tips on how to make your personal statement stand out?
    Thanks:thumb:

avoid generic responses, inject some personal anecdotes, be honest. Do a lot of thinking before you answer it and I'm sure you'll find the right answer! (of course don't think so long that you don't finish it until February!)

keep it simple, don't over analyze. Perhaps trying to show maturity and honesty might work.

My perspective, as a grad, FFR, and a Congressional Nomination Panel memeber, do I expect a great answer from a 17 or 18 year old about the most important qualities needed to be a successful UMSA cadet and Army officer? My personal opinion is that most 17 or 18 years lacks experience to properly answer this question. If you never spent a day in the Army, what do you about the Army other than what you have been seen or told?
