CAP

that's right...CAP will teach you alot of leadership and teamwork, but you only get out of it what you put in. if you have any questions about it, PM me. I've been in three years and am a C/1st Lt
 
Yeah same here.. just got promoted to C/MSgt and I can answer some questions.

I started at the start of september and I got promoted to C/Amn a few weeks ago, and should be Airman 1st Class by the mid Jan. I also am part of the Color Guard team (not sure if I am an alternate or part of the “starting” team, tryouts were sunday so I am still eagerly waiting for the results:eek:) I can answer questions if you want a newer cadets perspective. Or anything about color guard I should be able to answer (currently I am drilling the color guard manual in my head :shake: so if I dont know something ill look it up). You could PM about CAP too.
 
This seems like the place ask about CAP, so here's my question: How long does it take for CAP to reply? On the website I applied for information about groups near my area more than a week ago, more like a week and a half. Is it because of Thanksgiving, or am I just being impatient?
 
Strange. When I sent HQ a question before I joined I got a reply within 2 days. I would try and send another e-mail.

You can just show up at any squadron's meetings though. They're always open to prospects.

If you are asking about squadrons that are near you just go to http://cap.findlocation.com/ and enter the zip code, and it will pop up with a list of squadrons near you. Also in my experience if there is a phone number works way better. It is more personal, and you get an answer faster.
 
Civil Air Patrol, it is a program under the Air Force a lot like a Junior ROTC
