Career Limitations for Women?

Scout,

I should have read the melancholy blues thread before I posted. It is apparent they are a troll.

I-day changed everything....Last week was graduation for her. It was a fantastic week of sites, sounds, personal awards, and pagentry. It was emotionally draining for everyone.

- I get to see her in her dress blues for the first time at 6 AM on graduation morning. Had to leave the kitchen for a few moments before I lost it in front of the whole family.
- After she recieved her diploma, it took her 10 minutes to get back to her seat because of all the hugs and congratulations from friends. It just reconfirmed for me that she has been exacly where she belongs for the past 4 years.

Saying goodbye Sunday was not fun but the moment passed quickly and now we are planning for Warrior Day graduation from TBS.

Was there a graduation last week at any SA that lasted a week long?

1st time you saw her in dress blues, and she is graduating from CGA after 4 yrs. For 4 yrs you never saw her in dress blues, including those sr portrait pics?
Wore dress blues to the ceremony, not the parade uniform?
Was in your house that morning and not at the academy?
10 minutes to get back to her seat because all the friends hugging her? HUH?

Best for last...since when does the CG send newly minted officers to a USMC school?

Ten minutes back to the seat is the only good estimation in that post. After receiving their Diploma it does take a long time for them to run the gauntlet of those before. Lots of friends and Company members in the isles all hugging and congratulating each other. Long way back for some of the high number companys and they all make the most of it. Could take ten or more.
