Just curiosity, did they start with the intended class size, or did they reduce it to a smaller number, and like LAFB, they still are starting on time, just bumping a few out of each class back.
However, eventually a few will tally up to be an entire class or two every yr. Think of it mathematically, if 3 or 4 are bumped to take a class from 30 to 25, and they have 14 classes a yr., that turns out to be @ 2 full classes within a yr.
I know our DS's class was one of the 1st at Del Rio that was forced to split the formation and instrument portion into 2 groups. 1/2 went to instrument and the other 1/2 went to formation, and than they would flip. The way our DS explained it to me was that it came down to the xcountry sorties and sequestration.
Now I wonder if that was where it all started for them, if that is the reason why Laughlin, and now it appears Columbus are bumping students, but even so, it would not explain why UNT is also pushing back students there. Our friend's DS was bumped from Dec. to Jan. to Feb., and now is in March. He completed IFS in Oct., and is at P'Cola casual until he starts.
I also wonder if this is the reason the AFA cadets have yet to hear because they are trying to get the pipeline straightened out especially since AFROTC 14 already have their rated slots. Granted they will go after the AFA, but it is a number they have to place into the equation. Plus, you need to add in any OCS slots. Our DS's friend that got UNT, received it in 12 as a rising sr in college, a full yr before he reported to OCS. He was told that the reason he did not get UPT was due to the fact AFA and AFROTC filled all of the UPT slots for 13.
