Hey i was just asking people's opinion on if these CFA scores were any good?

    Basketball throw: 73
    shuttle run: 9.4
    pull ups: 11
    modified situps: 94
    push ups: 75 (max)
    mile run: 7:15

I think everything is ok except the mile run which was below average. I am hoping that since the basketball throw, sit ups, and push ups, were above average it will make up for it.

Max pushups and situps is really good, but they put a strong emphasis on the mile time (mainly because they amount of running they do at high altitude) so if you do retake it, I would definitely try to run a sub-seven.

Overall, though, I'd say it's a good shot. It's up to you whether or not you want to fix that mile time.

They put more emphasis on the pullups, situps, and pushups. The CFA overall is a small percentage of the total application. Just don't fail the run.

What would be a failing time in the mile run?

I don't know the pass/fail time, but My son ran an 8 min mile, and was told he passed--he did max everything else except basketball throw, but he was close with a 95ft throw, so that probably made up for his slow mile time. He's been working ALOT on his endurance since June when he took the test at NASS, but isn't retaking because he has already recvd an appointment to USNA. Hope that helps, and good luck!
