I know there are maximums, but are there minimums for the scores? I'm asking because my one mile time blows like Katrina, and I don't want to fail the test because of it. I'm new to all of this so any help is appreciated.

USNA does not provide "minimum" scores. If you read the sticky above on admissions, you will find the "average" scores from a couple of years ago. If you are much below that average, you need to improve. The mile is one of the areas of focus for USNA. You do have until March 1 to take/retake the CFA. Start working out now and I guarantee you will significantly improve your score by Oct. 1.

I guess the stickies are stickies for a reason lol. The averages are lower than I expected for everything except for the mile, but I guess when you focus on your running something has to give way. Thanks again.

Blows like Katrina?? :yllol:

That's hilarious! I think you deserve an appointment based on that comment, alone. You clearly have the self-deprecating and cynical sense of humor so critical to being a successful midshipman - and officer.

Unofficially, I hereby appoint you to the Class of 2015.

ScottW, I'm pullin' for ya, buddy!

Thanks Memphis. I sure hope I have what it takes. My uncle was stationed in New Orleans when Katrina hit. He didn't evacuate so he actually knows how it was and uses that phrase quite often.

Scott, mine was pretty awful as well. Can you quantify?

so by quantify, do you mean what my exact time is? If so, its around 10 minutes for my mile.
