this will be my 2nd year applying here are my CFA scores. Let me know if there is anything weak that I should try to improve. This is my 2nd time taking the CFA. Here is what my coach will be submitting:

Bbal toss: 58ft. (I know, horribly bad, but I have short arms and for some reason connot throw well!?)
    pull-ups: 18 (MAX)
shuttle Run: 8.7 sec (average I think?)
    Crunches: 101 (95 MAX)
    Push-Ups: 80 (75 MAX) (I could have done atleast 15 more)
Mile run: 5:49 ( I could improve this)

    Comments/suggestions are welcome.

looks fine to me, one thing I would say is stop when you hit the max and save your energy for the next event.

    Well you are pretty strong!

I do wonder why you go beyond max? This may have kept you from maxing out on the run. Contradictory to what some think, running does work the upper body and abs.

    B'Ball throw

There are some earlier threads on this site that give great advice on improving on the basketball throw.

USNA isn't particularly concerned about the basketball throw. One of the other SAs (USMA, I think) wanted that element in the test.

Which parts of the test are weighted most?

Pushups, crunches, mile run. That's for USNA. Other SAs may weight the elements differently.

Also, this doesn't mean you can "bag" the other elements. USNA also looks at entire score and very few pullups or a terrible shuttle run won't be viewed favorably.

I went a little bit beyond the max because I was unsure if USA had decided to change what the maximum was.

For future CFA takers, the facilitator (coach, etc.) is supposed to stop you when you reach the max. You do NOT get any additional points for doing more than the max -- and I'm not even sure if USNA sees any score above the max (i.e., whether the system defaults to the max). It only tires you out for future events.

I wouldn't worry about USNA changing the standards (and I believe all SAs who use it would have to agree on a change). Such a change would in all likelihood be announced before the start of a candidate cycle (June 1) so that everyone was in the same boat, so to speak.
