I am taking the CFA test on Friday. I have excellent athletic ability so I'm not exactly worrying about how I will do. I am the top runner on our track team and am one of the top receivers in the state. What I really have a question about is, how big of a role does the CFA test have in the acceptance process?

I believe it is 10% of your WCS, so it is not a huge blow to your application if you do not do well, but you should still strive for the maxes, 1 point could make a difference.

Even though it only counts as 10% of your Whole Candidate Score, if you "fail" you will not get an offer of appointment to West Point.

Do you regularly throw basketball on your knees or do shuttle runs?

go lift. Your body does not build up and be all muscular over night. Just cuz someone's good at one thing in athletics doesnt mean they are good at other things... if you are good at running for example, are you also working on bball throws and upper body? every event is tough.

Don't lift.. You're goal here isn't to get big. You should be working endurance, endurance, and endurance. If the CFA was testing your sheer muscular strength, it wouldn't be timed. Light weights, high reps. etc. Also its 10% of your wcs, but from my understanding, if you fail just one test on the CFA, you fail the whole thing. which is very bad. I'm sure you'll be fine. Good Luck!
