CGA Wins NCAA Opener

The CGA softball team won its opener in the NCAA Regionals 3-1 today. They move on to the second round tomorrow. They had just one hit, but it was a big one, a three-run jack by Becky Miller.:thumb:

Friday night, month ago or so...on a drive by on our way to our beach house..about 8:30pm......hsb and I stopped by the USCGA ,walked around a few spots on campus to get a feel of what it will be like for son (soon to be swab) went into the "old gym" where they built this fantastic new work out area......only one cadet was in there on the treadmill......B.M.......we asked her if we could talk to her about her experience there....while we talked....she never stopped running....when we left, we knew that we had just met one special dedicated, hard working person!

Another NCAA tournament win today for the Bears...they finally beat Springfield, who upset us (twice) during the NEWMAC Tournament, by a score of 7-4 with Hayley Feindel striking out another 10 batters! Next game is tomorrow at 2pm against #1 seed Tufts.
 
The team lost today to top-ranked Tufts 9-2. They will be in the semi-final tomorrow and if they should win they will get another crack at them.
