My son received CGA Scholars Appointment in March and the letter does not state that it is a conditional appointment. We just received word yesterday that his medical waiver was denied. He is nearsighted and wears contact lenses.
I talked to CGAS Program Manager who kindly emailed us ahead of the letter mail that was sent out yesterday. He has no other info. other than his medical waiver was denied.
How does the medical review work? They have the result since last year and why his medical test was not reviewed prior to offer the appointment?
We are in So. Cal, so it will take a few days for letter to arrive. Is there anything we can do?
We are extremely disappointed. But at least, it opens up a spot to those on the waiting list.
