CHANCE ME! College Re-Applicant, Low GPA, Heavy ECs, Jail time, Built Businesses, list goes on.

Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?

That is not how the academy views it though! Having talked to naval west and af, they all said it is possible. They said they have accepted men and women who have "committed multiple crimes including car theft, vandalism, home invasion, rape, drug and alcohol abuse, even murder" quote from airforce.

I was talking to a naval officer who had a 2.4 highschool gpa and a 3.2 college gpa and they are now a senior at the academy. My BGO told me the academy focuses on who is unique and well rounded. Someone who has a 4.0gpa, 2400 sat and captain of sports team will not get in over someone who has a 3.7gpa, 2100 sat but organized and ran a local charity not related to his school. Everyone is a captain, everyone is a scout, everyone is in clubs, but not everyone can leave their highschool and be fearless in the real world. Do you know how many times i spent countless hours raising capital for failed businesses? Over 40 times since i graduated highschool. I finally made out on 3 growing practical businesses. Ive heard of someone raising 10k for a child with cancer and they were praised and put on a pedestal, and Im over here like "hello! I do that 30 times over each year!" and no one says a thing...

You sound like Navy material to me! I highly encourage you to consider USNA.

I am 100% serious. I think they'd look favorably on your resume based on the BGO's comments and stats. I'd talk to him and pursue Navy.

He is in favor of navy. He represents navy being a BGO. I talk to him about navy frequently. Ill be applying to navy and army. AF is not really an option for me.

All kidding aside. I appreciate everyones honesty. Tough love is how i was raised and the truth hurts but sets you free, that is after a good tear. Id love to be an officer but not sure if an academy wil l be the best fit for me. Ill finish school and apply for OCS if not accepted to west point or Annapolis. Who knows what my criminal record has in store for me.

A couple questions reguarding rotc and ocs. Will i be able to join a rotc as a junior in college? Also does anyone know the ratio of officers in the army from westpoint too officers from ocs and rotc? Are opportunities the same for academy graduates and rotc/ocs? Last question, are academy grads more glorified then rotc/ocs? Thanks

If this was a school essay or a businesses report, it would be immaculate. But im busy writing up a contract for my businesses... Im sorry

Grammar and spelling always count. It's a reflection of your attention to detail.

BTW: it's very difficult to get into OCS. Your best bet at a commission, in my opinion, is ROTC. However, regardless of what you say, I believe you are going to be disqualified based on the background check. Maybe I'm wrong; but you seem to be a member of what some of us old folks call "the excuse generation." You seem to struggle with owning up to the choices you have made. Fresh starts are great, but life is a series of choices and then rewards or consequences based on the choices. You are free to choose, but you are not free from the consequences of your choices. I wish you well; you've received some great advice from some of the most respected people on this forum. You would do well to take it to heart.

Again, OCS is not granting moral waivers at the moment, but I'm not sure how long until you graduate. Maybe things will change. I hope not, for many reasons.

Keep in mind that there might be admissions people who view these forums....

Instead of asking for people to give you their opinions, just finish your application and apply. Not many people can 'chance' you. If you get in, good for you. If not, you probably know why you did not make it.

Interesting Video.

Wow surprised you found this video! I forgot all about it. I believe i wanted to start branding myself on youtube by delivering value to others but later decided it was not the right time for all that. See if you can find a video of me jumping on a skateboard and breaking it. It was when i was really young and the Real first youtube video i posted, but on an old youtube account which i cant find...

I decided to keep the truth to myself because I do not know you and prefer to keep my sensitive info to myself. If you want to look my name up, go ahead, but respect the fact that i am not too open about my criminal record. All i want you to do is give an input of how the academy handles criminal records. The story online is overstatement by a long shot. I pleaded guilty to prevent worse charges. If i fought it in court i would have ended up 50k in the hole and would have been found guilty by a jury because being unconcious and committing a crime is still a guilty charge in michigan. Other states i would have been found innocent because i was unconscious, blacked out, dont recall a thing.

Im sure your child has been to a friends house and drank there. The police showed up because my friend hit a baseball into their neighbors window. The marijuana was in my car but not mine but a passenger. I did not know it was there, and i was charged because it was in my car. Is this honest enough for you? Does this make my character look better because i choose to share verry sensitive information with you? What is your name again?

I changed schools because i switched my major. The third school is when i go to spring and summer classes, cheaper price and they transfer.
You can call me brovol.

Diminished Capacity can be a defense to some offenses, but generally most states handle intoxication the same way; although I don't profess to be an expert outside of Michigan.

To answer your question as to whether you are being honest enough for me, I'll admit, I suspect you aren't being completely honest still. The marijuana you were convicted of possessing was someone else's? Did YOU possess it? Knowingly and intentionally? And this is while you are on probation? This all while you desire to become a West Point Cadet? Really?

I also chalange your assertion that it would cost you $50,000 to fight your charges. A court appointed attorney would be afforded, and there are no real hidden cost to a criminal defense. I also suspect you are embellishing the facts of your case to say the least.

Move forward with your life young man. Stay out of trouble and take advantage of what talents you possess.

Being a military officer is my dream, but if it is not meant to be, then it will not happen. Ill apply this last time, even if i know my chances are slim, mainly to satisfy my personal rule too never quit. Ill be able to say that i tried my best. In your eyes, and i see your perspective, i did not give it my all because I was associating with the wrong people, stoners and non productive people. My father has tried many times to get me to drop my old friends, but that can be hard. Obviously getting into trouble with these people has opened my eyes and ive slowly stopped associating myself with them.

The marijuana was my friends. He put it in my glove box. I knew it was there but we already were on our way to our destination before i was aware, so i kept driving. I was on probation at the time. A situation like that, i take risks. I cant be perfect but i try with volunteering often and keeping up with school while operating three businesses. Im very busy and have little free time. Im like a machine. But i want this machine to be a part of something greater. My own ventures are too small.
