To further Pima's point, along with my previous admonishments, the things she noted will certainly help in getting you that NOM you're going to need from DS (in this case, Dear Spouse). You better hope she uses the slate and not the principal. You certainly don't have the credentials for an LOA (but then again, few of us in your shoes do).
In any event, if your unsuccessful this time around remember that they LOVE re applicants...those that have demonstrated true contrition for their wrongs, have made the effort to improve in all areas (see Pima point #1) and made themselves the best candidate father/husband they could be. It's a tough road young man and not all are chosen but stick with it....your age requirements won't expire till your 90.
