I have been debating the idea of applying for the NROTC Marine option scholarship at the University of Nebraska Lincoln. What I was wondering I guess are how many scholarships on average are awarded at each school and how many applicants are trying for the spots? I am a junior in high school now and my cumulative GPA is not that great...around a 3.4 or 5 ..and am just above the top 20% of my class. My projected ACT score is a 32, but I broke a few bones earlier on in high school therefore don't compete in sports at my school, but I've worked out with a personal trainer for about a year and a half, plus lifting a couple times a week at school so although I don't play varsity sports, I am physically fit. I am in a rec basketball league, a member of student council, in deca (even though I'm not in Marketing), a Rotary club member, and am a PADI certified open water diver. What I was wanting to know are what kind of chances I would have at receiving the scholarship? Thanks for any help!

Since NROTC app does not require an app fee, go ahead and apply. You do look competitive.

I am sitting on 2 LOA's and have not heard anything from NROTC. It all depends
