Chances of getting an appointment to Navy or AF Prep?

Hello! I just finished my junior year of high school and will be moving onto my senior year. I am very interested in serving our military and am equally as enthusiastic to attend a service academy. I posted this thread to ask, what are my chances of getting an appointment to the Preparatory Schools? I would like to have as many options as I can to attend the service academies, including the Prep Schools. I am shooting for all academies but Navy and Air Force are of great interest...

If you don't apply, then you have no chance...
so, why not start your application for c/o 2020? Don't wait until fall of your senior year. The whole process takes quite a while!

Your resume looks pretty strong. The only thing I noticed was your class rank seemed kinda low. Not horrible, but it could be better.

As USAFA83GradWife said, if you are truly interested go ahead and apply. It doesn't cost money to send in an application like most colleges. Also, make sure you are training for the CFA since that can make or break your application. Another thing is making sure you are ready for interviews with your ALO and MOC boards

You don't apply to the prep programs. You apply to the SA and if they think prep is a good option for you for whatever reason you will be considered for a year at the prep school civilian prep programs. The SA will make that determination as a part of your application.

Are you really sure you want to put all your information on an anonymous forum?
^^^^ Agree. Too much personal information - I now know your name & your high school. Remove it for your own safety.

Perhaps a moderator can remove the attachment? He's still a minor and that information shouldn't be posted online. As a parent, that concerns me.

Yeah I agree. I think I will erase this post, but how do I? (beginner here...)
