My son is patiently waiting to hopefully hear good news from the Academy. Here are some of his stats: Class rank 3/575 in very competitive HS GPA 4.54 W, 4.0 UW 4 AP classes this year, 2 last year, honors in all other sections ACT 34 (all areas above 30, math 36, science 34) SAT 1440 (not including writing portion) Eagle Scout, also in Venture Crew (shooting sports) 4 high adventure trips with scouts Attended Summer Seminar NHS (committee chair also) attended leadership workshop sponsored by a univ. Lettered in cross country and track, scholar awards too Volunteer at church, food pantry, with scouts, peer tutoring Job spring thru fall--lawn care for neighborhood clients, pet sitting yr. round CFA--maxed mile, above avg. on 3 events, at avg on rest Just cleared medically on Dec. 3 for leg issue No LOA, but noms from cong. and 1 senator (in our state you either get 1 sen. or none, but not both--they coordinate noms.) Reading on these forums about cutbacks in class size makes one nervous--any thoughts on how he might rate?
