Hello all! My son has been medically disqualified, I understand why & I also understand when a waiver will be processed for him, if USAFA deems him competitive. However, his "Your application is" status changed from Incomplete ** and Administratively Disqualified to Incomplete and Disqualified. Should I be alarmed by this?

I don't believe it is grounds to be alarmed. Other than the info you already know. You can call the academy counselor; (Actually, your son can); for clarification. Those status' are computer generated. There's a finite number of expressions that can be put in the box. Administratively disqualified can apply to many things; such as citizenship, criminal record, dependents, etc... Traditional "Disqualified" is generally for medical reasons or disqualified in general. WHY it says disqualified isn't important. Whether it's medical, citizenship, criminal record, etc....; obviously he's disqualified. So, the next stage is to see about getting the waiver for the medical issue if that is what you all want. You can check with the counselor and also with the medical forum section here and they might give you some better info. Best of luck. Mike....
