Changing Info after being boarded

My status changed to boarded last week. I have information I can add to the application (All District in football). More importantly, I plan on wrestling in college and have had a school I didn't anticipate contact me about wrestling for them. Can I add this information and the school choice to my application?

We have a similar question. DD's October 3 SAT showed an 80 point increase in math score from the one ROTC had on file. The change would put her in a more competitive range, but my understanding is that it won't make a difference now that her status has changed to "boarded."

I'll be watching this thread in the hopes that I'm wrong.

You are only kinda not wrong. The board and the PMS that interviewed you saw what was in your application (file). They scored your file based on what they saw. That generated a score. That score will not change and you will not be relooked at.

The information in your file also generates a score. Your test scores generate a stand alone score. Those scores can be changed based on additional information. This most commonly happens when you SAT/ACT scores change.

So adding information after the board can help a little, but don't expect the needle to move a lot.

Thank you for the information, Clarksonarmy. Is the most expedient way to change those scores by simply having the collegeboard send the new scores to Kentucky, or should my daughter also write to her PMS?

I am also an army rotc applicant who was boarded this past week. As is with your DD, I had an improvement in sat scores.

I submit my scores via a phone screenshot around 11pm. My portal was updated by 8am the next morning. Don't bother waiting 12 dollars to send it from college board... just take a picture.

The two least expedient ways to get scores posted are to ask SAT to send them and to contact a PMS. Not sure what the problem is, but I have seen many problems with Cadet Command getting the test scores from the testing agencies. Also, your PMS is a busy guy and has almost nothing to do with the national scholarship process. A good ROO might be able to help, but this process is primarily between the applicant and Cadet Command.

The most effective ways are to scan and email or upload a scan or screenshot to your application on the website. Too easy.
