Looking for expert advise.

I'm listed as a WINNER for three schools that I selected when starting my scholarship application (I only selected three). I would like to apply the scholarship to a school not in my list.

I will contact the school to see if a slot is available and talk with the ROO. I have not seen the mailed packet yet but I understand that a change form is in it.

You can request a change, but it won't necessarily be granted. Approval rests on a lot of factors - brigade, relative cost, # of scholarships available at gaining unit, etc. If granted, you probably won't find out until April or later. Good luck, but don't fail to do what needs to be done to accept the scholarship at and attend the school you have been accepted to.

At least it's not impossible.

Relative Cost - I thought the scholarship only paid the equivalent of in state tuition at a public university.

The scholarship will pay the full tuition to whatever school CC has granted a scholarship. If you were granted a 3 year scholarship they still pay the full tuition for the 3 years.

Jcleppe is absolutely correct. AROTC, NROTC, and AFROTC scholarships all work a little differently. I think you're getting confused with one of the AFROTC scholarship types that matches your description.

Thanks kinnem & Jcleppe. I'll read the packet over a few times and turn it around ASAP.
