Checking finale grades from home?

Have any of the cadets signed on to check final grades from their home internet? My DS seems unable to connect from any network other than the academy.

Has your son tried connecting to VPN Client? It is under start menu on Academy issued laptops. It allows the laptop to connect to the Academy network from a non-academy network.

He says yes with no luck from either my work or home network.

Have your son try changing the certificate on the VPN Client start page. There should be 3 main tabs: connection entries, certificates, and log. Click on the certificates tab and there will be a few certificates listed. Try clicking on one that isn't highlighted and then try connecting again. If that doesn't work, try another certificate.
 
Hopefully a current cadet will weigh in on this question. However, my DD who graduated in May reminded me that she was never able to check her grades from home -- cadets have to be connected to the military network to access grades. My DD always had to wait until after Winter Break to see her fall grades -- if they weren't posted before she left for Break.
 
It is possible to log into the USAFA network via VPN but it is quite a hassle...

shoot me a message if you still haven't figured out the VPN client...it's easier than you'd think.
 
All said and done, Final Grades are not yet officially posted.
A lot of people have most of their grades, but class rank and GPA computation is not finished.
 
VPN didn't work at my home but I tried it at a few friends and it worked there.

The official grade card is not posted but all of my finals were in the system so I know what I got.

My overall class rank had updated as well.
