Is your son currently an MSI or MSII? Is he currently contracted? If so did he recently contract? Just asking as it might paint a clearer picture of how cadets are being selected. Thanks.
 
My ds is an ms1 under a 4yr scholarship, contracted the first wk of school, and very high on the oml. He was originally going to CIET, now off the list. He is going to CULP.

He's currently a non-contracted MSI. They are supposed to be contracting him by the end of this semester. However, since they gave the battalion so few slots, he ended up not being able to go since his contracting wasn't finalized yet.
 
My battalion has yet to received any official orders, but it seems like only MSIIs are going.

where's the CULP mission?
 
Curiously, or maybe not, at DS's school they were allotted 50 slots, a certain number per date. For some reason they changed the number of slots on some of the dates....so they told the kids to come sign up again for their date. My son still has the first date(I guess he runs fast and got to the office quickly), but a few were bumped out of it.

My daughter is a contracted MS1 Nursing Student and was told today that she is attending early June.

I don't think the list of countries is protected (haven't parents found a list in the past?), but it does provide a piece if someone were to try and piece together when X # of cadets/soldiers/etc. were traveling abroad (your cadet will get TARP briefs on this stuff when they commission). Troop movements (I.e dates of travel) definitely can't be shared. To be safe, sticking to a region would be fine.

My son is a DSII contracted scholarship cadet.

First he was told he was going, and to pick a date range. Then he was told he wasn't going, and that he was going to Airborne school (which he was more excited about). And just the other day he was told he is going to CIET, gave him dates, and said he is likely not going to Airborne school.

He is middle of the road currently on his OML. He is very active in the unit, but had a rough semester GPA wise He is hovering around 3.0 right now. His last PT test was 240.
 
Well, here's the latest in the saga. DS received an email his last week of school from cadre stating the battalion had received notification from cadet command that they ended up having unfilled slots for CULP, so the battalion could send additional cadets if they wished. WHAT?! Of course, this is after DS had signed up for two summer classes and lined up two summer jobs, since he had already been told he couldn't go to CULP this summer! Par for the course, I guess.
