citadel admissions

Citadel admissions staff is very helpful and forthcoming with information. I would suggest you contact them directly with your question. Website may also answer your question.

They do rolling admissions. I got an email from them in September saying that if I applied by date X I would have a decision in two weeks. Two weeks later, I got a letter. Easy.

If you apply earlier do you have a better chance?

Citadel EA

DS applied as soon as Citadel website would allow for class of 2015 either July or Aug of 2010. He was accepted within 2-3 weeks after application was sent. My advice is apply to every school or ROTC program you are interested in as early as possible. Do not wait. Best of luck and God Bless.:thumb:

what kind of grades and extra stuff did he have? thanks

I also heard contradictory information about North Georgia Military College...Does any one know if North Georgia has early acceptance for their Corps of Cadets?

To give you an idea of some grades and other things, here are my "stats":
3.67 GPA
Varsity Baseball, Two Years Wrestling
1160 Math + Verbal SAT
National Honor Society
Easy Classes, Didn't push myself as much as I should have. Wish I had though.
Great reco letters.
Puerto Rican male from New York and got my acceptance in two weeks after applying.

Also, a long line of family serving in the Army and Marine Corps.

My son applied the same day the website allowed him too (he checked it everyday). 2 weeks later he got an acceptance letter. It was still summer and school had not even started yet for his senior year of HS.

He was accepted to VMI and Norwich as well. However, The Citadel is his #1. I do not know what he will do if the Marine NROTC boards offer him a scholarship elsewhere.

Stats:
3.4 gpa
Civil Air Patrol (Cadet Capt.)
Other volunteer activities

ACT for Citadel
