Does anyone know when the application deadline is for The Citadel? I keep looking but can't find anything. I know it is pretty late to start looking at applying to this school, but I have been focusing mainly on the SA applications so now I need to turn my attention to other schools. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

I applied in May of my senior year of high school. I know for a fact I missed out on a ton of financial aid, but I waited until after I was denied from all the SA's to apply (not the wisest of decisions).

So they don't have a definite close? The only way I could go there is if this AFROTC scholarship comes through for me, so that's ll of the financial aid I am banking on at the moment :)

Baileydb,
With an acceptance rate over 80% I wouldn't worry about getting in! My advice is to get your application completed, then focus on AFROTC and Aid packages... My guess is you'll be accepted--good luck!

Oh, wow! I had no idea the acceptance rate was so high! Thanks for the info!

This incoming class is supposed to be smaller than the others, I'm not sure how that will change acceptance rates, but the class may fill up sooner.

Admissions are rolling and generally the better your academic qualifications (unless you are a star FB or BB player) the better chance you have of being admitted even late. Average SAT for this FAll entering class is 1124 (math and English only) and 3.7GPA (4.0 system). There are 425 applicants who have already paid their deposit to reserve their position in the Fall class. So there are still spaces if you apply soon. The Fall Class will be smaller than past years due to larger upper classes. Look for the entering class to be about 700 4th Class Cadets. As for academic scholarships, awarded by the college not the ROTC branches, these are awarded after competitive review and go pretty quickly. My guess is unless you apply immediately, academic scholarships will be spoken for. It is not a difficult college application - apply on line and you can probably do it this morning. Good luck

last years class had a 73% acceptance rate but I wouldn't count on a non grad for accurate or objective information. Classes typically fill by early to mid March so if you are a high school senior who has not yet applied you need to do it immediately if not sooner
