I have recently been accepted to the citadel. I will be attending a Pre-Knob program in 2 weeks. I just want to hear of some other peoples experiences as a cadet in the corps.. knob year.. and also is there and how do you sign up for the bowling team?

Ill see you then. Ill be down in two weeks as well. Anybody know anything about the club lacrosse program?

nice nice!!

I went to the Citadel overnight pre-knob visit last week (thurs-fri) and it was freaking awesome. My pre-knob host was effing awesome, Villafane pray that you get him. You'll find out how much knob year blows. You have to walk 120 steps per min, bracing in the barracks, eating at attention, and morning clean-up. It's pretty much hazing to the maximum. It's really a eye opening experience. As all the professors and students say, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE HERE DON'T COME HERE. because then you'll hate it so much. So, you'll have to see how much you really want it once you experience it.

P.S. It's totally different watching it than actually experiencing it.

** I paid my 300 dollar deposit after everything was over.

Bracing, 120 spm, and clean ups are not hazing. That's standard. Good luck to all those who decide to go to El Cid. :thumb:

he's right

guy above me is right

but there is still plenty of hazing

Haha, people need to grow up some. What people call "Hazing" today isn't really anything like legit hazing. The "Hazing" at the Citadel is just discipline, character building. Those 120 steps/min make you get to where your going fast in a motivated, direct manner and prevent doddling. Excessive PT just makes you better. Maybe wrestlers are just sadistic like that, but I dont really see anything as hazing, I see it all as having a purpose, if you're commissioning, or making you a better, stronger person.
