One week into CSI and no phone calls home from DS. Guess he's doing just fine.

there seems to be a large number of entering knobs attending CSI these days, many are missing the sendoff picnic for the Washington DC/Baltimore Club because they will not return in time. Those that do attend seem to do well their first year and have a much lower dropout rate than those who do not attend. Did not exist in my day and I survived without it but might have made for a somewhat less stressful initiation

DS missed his sendof picnic here in NC due to being at CSI. There were supposed to be 5 kids there for the picnic and only 2 were in town. The rest were at CSI.

Eventhough it's fairly new, I believe it helped DS to go. He was home for 9 days before he had to go back for Matriculation and Hell week.

Good luck to you and your DS in his knob year! It's a challenging year for both of you. My son is in the Class of 2014. You'll be amazed (and IMO oh so proud) of the changes in your DS by the end of this year.
