Citadel personal statement

Hello all, I noticed that nowhere on the Citadel admissions page it asked for an applicant to provide a personal statement, does the Citadel require a personal statement? and if not would it be frowned upon or not read if an applicant still sent one?

Here is a link from the forum in 2008 that discloses more details on The Citadel's philosophy regarding essays. The bottom line is, they don't require an essay and they won't read it if you submit one.
