Citadel ranked high for average earnings

I have to agree with some others... these days you can just about find a survey somewhere that says what you want to hear......too many dang surveys....just writing on a paper IMHO.

yes, a lot of questionable ratings these days but at least this one has solid fact to back it up. No 'gaming the system' here.

After reading how the scores were calculated I have to wonder how useful these rankings are.
It is based on the difference between "expected" earnings compared to actual. Appalachian Bible College out ranks Harvey Mudd College even though the average Harvey Mudd graduated earns a starting salary that is $50k more per year.
They caveat the findings in a few interesting ways, engineering schools ranking higher, schools that graduates going into public service ranking lower.

Yeah, this is a bogus ranking--noticed some monkey business right away... For example, ranked right ahead of the Citadel is the Mississippi University for women, because they projected an average graduate salary of $29k but actually had $34.8k: definitely not noteworthy... But hey, whatever floats your boat, dude! ;)
