Hello Everyone,
I recently received a letter from Army ROTC, that I have received a 3-year scholarship to The Citadel or North Georgia. If I want the scholarship I have to decide by no later than May. 10th. Because I am a 4-year Varsity Track athlete, and live so far away, I have no time to make a visit to either schools. I am from Illinois, and am in the dark on both these schools. I have read many forums, and researched both school websites but I still can't decide which I would enjoy most. I am attracted to the structured disciplined, non party like school the Citadel has to offer, but I don't know that I'd enjoy an almost all male military school. NGCSU offers Army ROTC, which is the branch I'm interested in, but I don't feel it carries the same name and weight as The Citadel does from what I've read online. I plan to serve the country regardless of what school I attend. It is fusterating, because it is hard to pick a school that I will have to show up to in the fall, without a prior visit. I don't like the idea of taking a gamble between the two, and am unsure where I would be most happy. Any advice or insight from past alum, or anyone with knowledge on either school would be most appreciated.
Thanks for your time,
-Max
