Parents Weekend

Suggestion: If you think you might go to Parents Weekend, go ahead and make a reservation @ the Sleep Inn now. They do sell out and then alternate accommodations are limited. I wasn't going to go to the Weekend, but then decided 2-3 weeks prior to the Weekend to attend and the Sleep Inn was sold out. I had to go to 40 minutes south to Selma. Also call the Marion Sleep Inn directly and ask for the MMI rate.

DS just completed application to MMI! See y'all at parents day!
 
DS just finished all FAFSA and required docs. See ya' all there. We did book the Sleep Inn for the night of the 12th. Taking a train from Philly to Birmingham, renting a car, check out some Birmingham history, drop the boy off (gonna spend as much time as we can), then head to Graceland the next day, then Gatlinburg ( we have a condo there). Anyone else making off the wall radical plans?

This is solid advice.

We booked early for Parents weekend and for the upcoming convocation day.

Back in August on move in day, we stayed in Prattville on the NW side of Montgomery. It would have been so much better just to have the room at Marion.
