Civil Prep

"Civil Prep" notifications will come out sometime in April, basically a TWE WITH an offer of a year of prep school at either the academy's associated prep school, or a college that is affiliated with the service academy for prep school needs. There may be an update on your portal before any notification via mail. However, just because you haven't heard after March, DOES NOT mean you will not be offered Admissions directly into the academy! Best of luck to you :)

If you are referencing MAPS, you must be academically DQ'd. MAPS is a prep school run by WP for candidates who are recruited athletes, underrepresented groups, and prior enlisted.

WP does not give offers for "Civil Prep" to the many schools. AOG offers 40 to 50 partial scholarships who have been recommended by RCs to be "sponsored."

Two different animals.

I hope that adds clearification to a confusing process. AOG scholarships usually are offered in April or May

This is my experience from last year, it'll vary of course.

I got a call from my RC mid-March that I was most likely not going to be appointed (but would still be eligible to if it were to be possible), and asked if I was interested in Civil Prep. I said yes, and he said he would put my name forward.

About mid-April I received the official letter with the details, as well as the list of schools I could choose to apply for and go to. The same week I got phone calls/e-mails from almost all the schools asking if I had any questions and so on.

Again it'll vary. My fellow AOG scholar at NWP found out through one of the schools calling him to tell him that he had been offered the scholarship.
