Class of 2014

LOA region

Just curious, are the early LOA's going out to any certain part of the US?
 
Wow, some of you guys and your sons/daughters got LOAs and nominations reeeaally early. I was just about giving up on an LOA when I got one at the end of November and an interview for one nomination doesn't even start until January. I still need to get medically cleared too...

It must be so relieving!
 
I'm pretty much in same boat (tank!) as Chockstock, just waiting for DoDMERB to process my medical wavier, and then waiting to hear back about noms.

I also got LOA late November, dated 25 Nov., and am from IL. I went to SLS, and another friend from SLS in TX also got LOA and nom recently.

I was just about to give up on an LOA as well, but thankfully got one in the middle of November (Happy birthday to me!). I was cleared by DODMERB in July and I'm taking my CFA tomorrow morning. The only thing I have to wait on is my nomination. The interviews and applications are done, but I have to wait until the middle of January to hear from the offices :frown:

Got the official appointment envelope today- very impressive! Hey, can we get a running list of appointies?
 
Just received my appointment on New Years Eve! I was on the National Waiting List so I am very excited to find out this early.

quick question though, how did you know you were on the national waiting list?
 
Thank you! I received a letter two weeks ago informing me that I was on the list.

Yeah, you will also be sent the package and once you accept the appointment (you can do it online as well). You eventually get a lot of papers to fill.

From what I have heard, yes. You should receive the package before it is updated online. But it doesn't hurt to check online everyday, twice a day :thumb:.
