Class of 2015 is Recognized

Already sent DS another copy of the 8 bearable phases. The 6th time i have done so his year. This may be the best phase of the whole four year experience! :thumb:

No, the best one is when the hat gets tossed into the air. . . . . .

Cmakin, Maybe the happiest feeling is when finally after 40 something years after tossing your hat, you no longer have that sick feeling in your stomach when driving down steamboat road.

Congratulations to the Class of 2015! And, BTW...that video is AWESOME!

Well, I haven't driven down Steamboat for over 25 years now, but my guess is that I will never get over that sick feeling. Although they don't occur as often as they once did, I sometimes have dreams that I am still there, and they are not pleasant ones.

You should really go back and visit. Don't know why your experiences were not "pleasant ones", but a return visit should help a great deal. You are missing out by not returning.

Oh, you misunderstand me. I have been back since I graduated. Quite a few times, actually; just not since 1986. The last time I was there was during a weekday, in the late morning. My travel companion and I were having a pleasant walk around the grounds and enjoying the scenery. It DOES look quite different once outside the program. We were on Zero Deck near the Canteen when I heard the cadence of the drum inviting the regiment into Delano for the noon meal. My companion and I walked outside to watch the show. She asked me why everyone was marching in to eat lunch. I said it was because it was lunch time. I mean, she was a college graduate. Didn't she march in for lunch, too? Oh. She then asked what did we do when it rained. Why, I said march inside, of course. . . . .
