Class of 2015 - Plebe Computer Equipment

Looking at the photos on the USNA Facebook page, it looks like this year's Plebes are getting Lenovo Thinkpad Laptops, rather then the fairly useless netbooks from year's past, and they are all getting HP Printers.

Can anyone confirm?
 
Yes. The Plebes got laptops (no desktops), printers, a monitor/keyboard, headphones, a whole bunch of other crap, and a handy little cart to carry it all on.
The cart triggered some bitterness in 2012, even though it actually is a good idea. I have not-very-fond memories of hauling my clunky desktop and miscellaneous computer equipment all the way up to fourth deck.
 
actually plebes are getting both a laptop and a desktop. laptops will be have a locking mechanism so they will not be workable off the yard or something like that.

doesn't surprise me that they get a handy little cart to carry it all since it appears this class was able to not only visit but shop in the Mid store AND buy candy and soda and it wasn't even the end of their 2nd wk of plebe summer...just gets easier every year i guess.

Minus one to me for poor observational skills.

Back in my day, we could only get midchargable items in the Mid Store over Plebe Summer. I think it's on a by company basis.
 
Progress is good and it's gets better every year; glad to see the updated equipment and improvements in all areas.

Friend of mine saw some plebes shopping in the midstore alone the other day.

I personally saw a couple working out in MacD, and another 2 playing basketball in MacD and bragging about how they were going to get out of EMF.
