Anyone have any advice as to how to make me more competitive for the class of 2015? I am applying for EA phase 1.

    Weighted GPA:4.1
    ACT Math:28
    ACT English:30
    ACT Reading:32
    ACT Science:30
    class rank: 60/527

have taken several AP and Honors courses.
Total of 6 varsity letters throughout high school.
Team captain of swim team and track team for two years.
president of science club I started at my school.
    advisor for Cancer Awareness Club.
hold many team records for swim team.
    selected for International Leadership Conference.
selected for a specialized academy in my high school district for Law Enforcement and Public Services.
I have taken the PFE and scored an "A" on it.

I am pretty confident in knowing that my letters of recommendation will be strong and I am attending the Cadet for a Day program where I will be interviewed as well.

    Any advice?

    Thanks!

There's really not much anyone could recommend to someone with such a complete package.

Perhaps you can make contact with the swimming coach to ensure there is notation on your file? Remember, the USCGA only has 1,000 cadets and must fill 23 intercollegiate sports teams, and an applicant who can make an immediate impact on a team may get a little bump in the appointment process.

Check and double-check your essays for grammar and spelling, as well as content.

    Stay healthy.

    Stay out of trouble.

It may be too late now, but one thing I advise candidates is to consider joining the U. S. Naval Sea Cadets, Civil Air Patrol, Scouts, or similar community service organization with a military component.

Your background is outstanding. Best of luck on your application.
