Class of 2019 Appointment Thread

My DD's ALO told her yesterday that he knows of a few in AZ that have been denied admission this month. How they were notified, we don't know.
 
My poor son is so stressed - but I suppose that could ultimately be good for him. I just wish we knew something already so we can get ourselves focused on a course of action. Everything is on hold.

It is hard to get focused on a second plan without knowing. I suppose that the good thing about all this waiting is that you get to decide on if this is really the path you want to follow. And everyday is one day closer to finding out! Hope he hears some good news soon!
 
My son finished his application way back in October. He was deferred on January 15th. However, within the following month, he received a second nomination, the medical waiver he had been lacking, and an AFROTC scholarship. Additionally, he sent in improved ACT scores as well as some essays, new accomplishments, etc. But till this day, even after being told by his counselor that he was a "qualified candidate," he has yet to hear a single peep!!! The suspense is killing us both!!!

Ugh, that has to be so frustrating!!! Hang in there! It sounds like he's got a great shot!!!!
 
Va district 2 and as stated earlier nothing yet but remain hopeful. DS is in college now so I am hoping that doesn't hurt his chances he really wants this. He wants to be challenged more.
 
Looks like admissions actually did take a break over the academy's spring break o_O we should hear something next week!
 
It is spring break on the Hill. I think there may be a skeleton crew. Hoping for a second wave next week and you all get what you are hoping for. My DS didn't hear until April 1st. He was only on a senate slate, tough competition.
 
We're patiently waiting also. I check my son's portal everyday. Meanwhile, his backup college forms/payments are being sent in; will be on college housing waiting list and have some nonrefundable fees if/when he's offered an appointment. Keeping our fingers crossed.
