Class of 2019 Appointment Thread

My DS is at the prep school, he has a nomination and we are still waiting to hear about an appointment. He didn't receive the prep school offer until May 12th last year. He had already accepted at his back up school and we put down a deposit and reserved housing. We were elated when the offer came through. It's just as hard waiting to hear this year but the difference is that we have no back up plan. :-/

If I may ask, did your son have a nomination last year...when he received his prep school offer?

My son is waiting in KY. Is there a thread that we could go to that clearly explains the levels of the appointment process?

Clearly? Probably not. Lol. However there are a few threads if you search... Appointment steps or process.

Application, Interview, Nomination. . . .Wait.

Until you get the "Sorry, thanks for applying letter." Your son is still a viable candidate.

I've been thinking the same thing, especially since cadets at the prep school are still waiting. I have to say, the admissions team is doing an excellent job of making the wait as excruciating as possible.

Just as a heads up I'm a re-applicant and appointed for c/o 2019, but I'm at a civilian 4-year university. Hopefully good news comes for all of you soon! I know how bad the wait is especially the second time around
