I didn't realize one could get an appointment so early. Congratulations! My son had much of his application finished but kept having scheduling conflicts for his CFA and didn't do it until January 22. How many appointments do they send out so early?

Well from what I understand, like 75% (that number isn't exact) get their appointments in april/may so that'd be approximately 750 applicants and the other 300 will either find out before hand or after. My numbers aren't exact but from what my liaison officer told me, its close. And I understand, my friend is applying to USNA and he hasn't finished his CFA for the same reason. Just tell your son to stick in and know its never to late! Unless he misses the deadline of course but I don't think he has so no worries! Just keep your game faces on!

So the day the nomination was posted, the appointment letter went out. LOA's can be contingent upon DoD qualifications or CFA scores to be received etc.

Actually no, we did not. I received mine on January 30th and he received his today, February 13th!
